The Monahans
Mr. Monahan and I live in town with our 3 children, making the decision to move here so that I could continue to teach while raising our family, and so our children could benefit from a small community with an excellent school system. I didn't think anything could keep me busier than working in a field that changes so rapidly, but having 3 very active children has proven me wrong. We feel so fortunate to be a part of a community with so many wonderful opportunities for them!

Christa Monahan, M. Ed.
Although not my original home town, Hanover has always felt like home to me. I began my career teaching 4th grade at Sylvester School in 1994, and aside from a few short maternity breaks and years of summer employment at the Museum of Science, I’ve been here ever since. I hold 3 certifications: Elementary Teaching, Elementary Administration, and K-12 Instructional Technology, and have worked within each certification in a variety of roles.
Although I miss having a contained classroom of my own, the opportunity to teach technology full time in 2005 was too good to pass up. Like the technology field itself, my role at Center School has changed and evolved, providing plenty of challenge and lots of fun!
Through all my years of teaching, my commitment and passion for educating children has never wavered. My experiences have validated my career choice and belief that technology instruction is not only a powerfully effective way to engage, instruct and motivate students, but is also critical in preparing them for the future in a technologically advanced society.
