It has more than 60% of the world's population with over 4 billion people. The continent has the most populous cities, that means there are the biggest cities in the world with many million people living in the urban centres, such as in Delhi, Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing. |
Great Wall of China
The Great Wall of China is one of the largest construction projects ever completed. It started as smaller sections of wall for different states, built to keep out invading armies. It was eventually connected (221 B.C. E. - 206 B.C.E.) There is some disagreement over the actual length of the wall, with estimates ranging from 1,684- 4, 163 miles. It curves from the east to the west, and is made of masonry, rocks, and packed earth. It is 15 to 30 feet thick and up to 25 feet tall in some areas.

Yangtze River
The Yangtze River is the longest river in Asia and the third longest river in the world. It is 6,300 km long and flows from Qinghai Province east into the East China Sea at Shanghai. It has been very important to the Chinese way of life, helping them grow crops. These crops were not just important for feeding the Chinese, but for making money as well.

Himalayan Mountain Range
The Himalayan Range is a mountain system in Asia which has 9 of the 10 world’s highest peaks, including Mount Everest and K2. It has over 100 mountains, some that reach as high as 29,000 feet, and stretches 1,600 miles over 6 nations: Bhutan, Tibet province of China, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. They are the source of 3 of the world’s major river systems including the Yangtze.
