Located in Sydney, New South Wales. It was designed by Jorn Utzon, opened in 1973, and is one of the world’s most famous performing arts centers. It is home of Opera Australia, Sydney Theatre Company, and Sydney Symphony, but also shows touring theatre, ballet, and musical productions. There are about 3000 events held there each year, with some 2 million audience members. It has 1000 rooms and measures 185 meters long by 120 meters wide. The original design was supposed to cost $7 million to build, but in the end, totaled $102 million, almost 15 times the estimate!!
