North America
North America is the third largest continent and fourth largest in terms of population. There are nearly 529 million people living in North America. North America is a continent which is located entirely on the northern and western hemisphere. It includes the United States of America (USA), Canada, Mexico, Greenland and the Caribbean islands. North America is home to the largest Christian population in the world. Almost 80% of the people in Canada, the USA and Mexico consider themselves as Christians. |
The Statue of Liberty is a large copper statue that was given to the United States by France in 1886. It stands on Liberty Island in New York Harbor, and serves as a welcome to all visitors, immigrants, and returning Americans. The statue of a woman holding a lit torch stands 151 feet tall, and stands on a pedestal that is 305 feet tall. It represents freedom.

Mount Rushmore National Memorial is located in South Dakota. It is a granite sculpture made of 60-foot heads of former presidents George Washington (1732-1799), Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826), Theodore Roosevelt (1858-1919), and Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865). It covers over 1278 acres and is 5,725 feet above sea level.. It is visited by about 2 million people every year.
